As Governors we are dedicated to ensuring our school delivers the best all round education for our children. We are confident that the warm, friendly and exciting learning environment offered by the Headteacher, Teachers and Support Staff will make your child’s time here a very happy and productive one. We take great pride that East Boldon Infant School provides a safe, happy and caring environment where all are valued and supported by an experienced, professional and a well-motivated team.

Information about our Governors
Our members of the Governing Board are elected over a period of 3 years. They work in partnership with the Headteacher and staff to ensure our school is a happy, safe environment for all of our children to learn, develop and achieve the best they can.
They perform a vital function in setting the strategic direction of the school and ensure it continues to be a valued school at the heart of the local community.
The Governing Handbook explains that the 3 core functions of the Governing Board are:
- To ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the school, its pupils and the effective and efficient performance management of staff
- Overseeing financial performance of the organisation and making sure it is money well spent.
