Our Reading Bunnies are chosen twice a week to go home with a member of their class. Inside the case the children have a book recommended by the Bunny and a scrap book to record their comments and drawings about the book. The instructions ask the children to share their favourite book from home with the Bunny too. Parents then photograph their child’s book recommendation and this can be shared with class teachers. The photographs are printed and added into the class book.
Our community Link Governor helps to source sponsorship from local business for our Book Bunnies. We managed to get six local businesses to support the project and each one had their name embroidered with the class name and sponsor.
Book Bunny has really supported book talk as children are recommending texts to each other and even bringing in books to share in class too!
